Mike Shafer is a Vice-President of Business Consulting, leading CGI’s U.S. life sciences industry. His 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry spans late-stage clinical and industrial scale-up, facility start-up, regulatory compliance, validation, licensing, and agile/lean production.
He is dedicated to helping clients in the health and life sciences sectors improve their processes and better leverage human capital to produce high quality, innovative products for public health with the goal of improving patient outcomes at a much lower cost.
In Mike’s prior role at CGI, he led a team of experienced subject matter experts supporting clinical, regulatory, GxP quality, laboratory, manufacturing, and commercial operations for life sciences clients. He and his team collaborated across accounts and geographies to deliver thought leadership, best practice guidance, business process/gap analysis, and solution implementation partnership at each stage of the product lifecycle.
Mike is a former naval officer and is currently an adjunct professor at Lehigh University College of Business.
